You’ve been putting in countless hours of hard work not just inside the gym but mainly outside the gym to change your life for the better. How did you find Firewall?

I used to go to a boxing bootcamp with Castle and mentioned that I was bored with the workouts.  I was looking for a change and was so tired of spending hours at the gym. I was noticing how strong and toned she was becoming and needed to know what exactly what she was doing. Castle told me about Firewall and convinced me to take a class with her.  Thank you Castle!!

How long have you been coming to Firewall?

I joined in October of 2018.

How did your first experience compare with your original expectations?

My first class I took I was hooked. Finally, I found what I was looking for – a workout that pushed you to the point of complete exhaustion.  I knew I was going to like CrossFit, it was just making the change from my comfort zone going to the gym with my girlfriends to coming to a new place that I only knew one person.

What do you love most about the workout program?

I love that everyday is a different workout and the coaching. 

What do you love most about the community?

The Firewall community is very welcoming and supportive. 

If you were to give someone who was thinking about trying us out advice, what would it be?

If you are ready to make a change in your workout try a class. You just need to SHOW UP!

You recently took part in our nutrition challenge through the month of April, what were your results?

I lost 17 lbs and 5.5% body fat.  I absolutely loved doing the challenge. The meal prepping made my life easier throughout the day. I was no longer eating what my children didn’t finish for their meals. The first week I wanted to stab someone..sugar is my weakness.  The weeks that followed became easier to stay with the challenge as I noticed the change in my body.  I am still meal prepping  and following the Paleo guidelines of eating.

What changes have you experienced since joining – physical and/or mental?

Mentally: The Paleo challenge made me realize I need to make healthier choices for my meals and not just for my family. I definitely  learned that I need to make myself a priority. I try to come to Firewall as many days during the week as possible. This is my “alone” time.   Physically: My body has returned to me!

Have you made friends since starting?

Of course! I absolutely love the 9 am class.

If you could have any job in the world, what would it be and why?

I would be a personal stylist to celebrities.  When I lived in California I worked for a boutique on Robertson Blvd ,that had celebrity clientele and pulled wardrobe for movies. I love shopping for other people. My friends count on me for finding them outfits for events.

What is your favorite show that your kids watch?

Nailed It on Netflix.. I really want to be on that show with my daughter.
