How long have you been at Firewall?
I celebrated my 1-year anniversary in February.

What have you experienced at Firewall that was different from other gyms you previously belonged to?
I love the fact that Firewall is so welcoming to all fitness levels no matter where we are in our wellness journeys.

What is your favorite part about CrossFit?
I finally found something that I actually LOVE that keeps me motivated and disciplined.

Were you intimidated before joining? If yes, what about?
Absolutely! Never in my life had I thought I would be doing CrossFit. I thought it was only for crazy fitness fanatics. And I never was and never wanted to be. I thought it was going to be too hard.

What physical benefits have you seen from the program since joining? Mental benefits?
I have noticed that my body is getting stronger and leaner. I have been free from chronic pain I used to have. I feel energized and motivated. CrossFit has been a great relief for me lately as I am going through some testing times at work at this time. It helps me to release my energy while being surrounded by great coaches and amazing community of positive people.

If you were to give someone a piece of advice before joining you wish someone told you, what would it
be?
The coaches are great and will support you through your journey to make sure you are comfortable and don’t get hurt. You need to go at your own pace and nobody cares how slow this pace may be.

How many times per week do you workout?
I try to workout 5-6 times per week.

What were your past fitness goals?
My goal was to find a routine that I would enjoy and would stick with so that I become more disciplined and just keep moving.

Have you accomplished them?
Yes, I finally found something that I absolutely love.

What are some new ones you have?
To get stronger, more flexible and just to enjoy the journey.

Where’s one place in the world you’d want to take your family but haven’t yet and why?
Paris is my dream! Planned to go there this April but had to cancel due to the coronavirus concerns. So disappointed! Oh, well. Hopefully soon.

What do you want to do when you retire?
Travel everywhere around the world, spend time with my grandkids and volunteer.
